Monster Dash - 10 Mile

Andy & I haven't run a race together since before we were engaged...so this was a fun change. Thanks to Grandma Jo for having with the kids so we could run. The Monster Dash is a really fun race because probably 75% of the people are in costumes of some sort. I wore a tutu skirt...my friend Anne had a matching one to wear but got sick the morning of the race. We met some of my work friends at the race...they were like Andy..in the 25% (no costume).

In our house of everything sports (thanks Zach!)...it's all about who won...so winner is...ANDY! Shocked, huh...yeah right! He rocked it at 1:09 and I was at 1:19 a minute shy of my best. But a very fun day. Then we met up with Grandma Jo and the kids who were at the Edina Pumpkin Fest...trick-or-treating through Edina (Grandma Jo is a trooper!!).Can you handle these faces?! I asked if they wanted to carve or paint their pumpkins...they decided they wanted to paint. And maybe carve later. They did a great job...and no work for Mommy...and no fighting over the age to safely use a knife. Win win!

Long overdue Girls Night Out...even a special visit from Kim who moved to the Netherland's in July for a year. She was in town for a week. I was lucky enough to get to see her twice!!

Florida Vacation: Great trip filled with great faces

We have taken a week long vacation each year but never have we had so many people be able to join us for different parts of the week...this truly made the trip! I loved being able to spend time away from our busy lives with some of my favorite people.

This was the first time Zach & Molly got to meet Jacob! Josh, Megan & Jacob were able to come down for 3 days with us before going to Megan's work event also in Orlando so we got to see them an extra day too! Grandpa & Grandma came down for 3 days overlapping one with Megan...so we could all be together. This was a dream for me to have family together on vacation.

Marci were college roommates and have remained the best of friends since. Her kids, Sherilyn (8) and John (7) are my god babies and so special to me. I love that live in Orlando and were able to spend some time each day of our vacation with us. Watching our kids play and laugh together warms my heart!

Florida Vacation 2011: Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party at Disney World

On Tuesday night, we went to Disney World with the Patterson's for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. This is when the they close the park early and open it from 7pm-12am for trick-or-treating around Disney as well as the usual Disney World activities. The kids made to 10pm...the latest they have ever stayed up!
