hospital

Asleep in her own bed...At HOME!!! YEAH for Molly!! (added some cell phone pics from the hospital and finally at home)

12/23 The Dr just came in and gave us the thumbs up! We will be taking Molly home today!
Merry Christmas to all!

12/22 Just completed the test...one hour instead of four...and she passed. They want to see how she does today...and we should be ok to go home today or tomorrow. We are so thankful for all the prayers and notes/calls! Now we need to get some rest and hopefully be ready to go home.

As long as we stay on track, she will be released to go home tomorrow (tuesday)...in time for christmas with zach, mommy & daddy at home! A blessing!

12/21 pm Molly did well today on the 'prove yourself' tests. She went off the IV and took all meds orally and is getting better with feedings. She remains off the oxygen. So now it is the apnea that they are watching. She will be tested tomorrow in the carseat for 4 hours. The carseat is the hardest position to breathe...if she passes she can go home. We are hopeful...but not getting ahead of ourselves as she had another episode today. Though we want to be home so bad, we want to be sure she is ready. Having an episode at home would be scary & could put us back in here. So we just continue to pray that she continues to improve and we get to go home when the time is right.

12/21 We were moved to Intermediate Care floor late Saturday night where we she will need to show signs of stability before we can think about leaving but this floor has less serious germs...they wanted to move her to recover rather than risking catching something from the others down there. This floor has a bed in the room for mom rather than down the hall!! Still hoping to be home together for Christmas. Thanks for all the prayers and love!

12/20 So we were admitted into ped ICU due to 3 things...poor eating, poor oxygen levels and apnia spells of not breathing...all due to RSV. She is fully on room air and stable. We are working on the feeding and if they get better and she doesnt have anymore spells (last one was last night...only happens in her deepest sleep...6 total since we got here). We hope to be in an intermedate room tomorrow...please keep her in your prayers. Zach wants us home as bad as we do....it is heartbreaking for me. 12/19 still in ICU but mostly off the oxygen...but has been breathing on her own since she got here. will update when we know more...but dont know how long we will be in ICU or the general hospital. mom finally got to her and feed her after 18 hours of just laying in bed.
12/18 Molly was admitted into children's hospital tonight in the pediatric ICU. she has pretty severe RSV and dehyration. please keep her...us in your prayers. this is really hard on us seeing her in the big bed with monitors. our christmas wish is to have the four of us home & healthy for christmas!

Big Brother Love

Everynight when Zach comes in the door after school, he yells Molly and goes running through the house until he finds her...then of course he just stares and tries to get close enough for her to kiss him:) Very sweet the attention interest he has taken in her.

Introducing Molly Jo Nelson

At 36 1/2 weeks, Molly entered our world a little early. Mom's water broke at work at 1pm on Monday...she drove to the hospital where she met Dad. Molly was born at 3:23pm on 11/24. She weighed in at 6 lbs 8 oz, 19 inches long...not bad for being early (before 37 weeks in considered a premie). She is a beautiful baby...we have so much to be THANKFUL for this holiday season. Here is a picture...will add more later...so check back.

Zach met her last night!! will add those pics in a bit.
