College Days...

It's been almost 12 years since I was in college, but my college friends are still my dearest friends and any time together is time well spent. Kristin, Heather & I met after the kids were in bed in Lawrence at a bar we used to frequent, The Yacht Club. Oh how things have changed...though we were proud to still make it to bar close (though now it closes at 11pm...so we were the last to leave at 11:15 haha!).

On our quick trip to Kansas, we were able to spend a day with Grammy.

We had so much fun staying in Lawrence with my cousin Julee & her family.

Julee & I are 7 years apart but have been quite close for years and as the kids have gotten older they are really starting to enjoy playing together. Especially Molly who loves all the opportunities to play with dollies!

Remodel week 6

Siding, flower boxes & pillars complete. Sheet rocking with be done by end of week...next week mud & tape.

Happy 9th birthday Bailey

We had a great time celebrating Bailey's birthday at the American Girl doll restaurant. The dolls got to sit at table too. Molly made sure they were taken care of.

Remodel week 5

Electrical and plumbing almost complete, all windows in, starting the siding and the front pillars. Pics from Sunday....note siding will not be painted until May.

While it wasn't at Allen Field House, it was at one of the coolest, most unique places to watch basketball...Williams Arena aka "The Barn". Go Gophers!!

We had great seats and like her Mom, Molly liked watching the cheerleaders best! She got excited with each basket...for the clapping:)

Saturday...shingles started this morning and will be fully shingled by tonight...just in time for the snow...started snowing within minutes on finishing and snowed all night totaling 5 inches. Here it is Sunday morning post snow.

Our elf....Elfy

Last year the kids didn't get too into the Elf on the shelf but this year he is a big deal. He is the only part of our house Christmas we have at the Freeland's so that makes him extra special. The story with the elf on the shelf is the elf works for Santa and moves around the house and hides to see how the kids are behaving and he reports back to Santa. Sunday was the first day he was out, so they kids were so excited and wanted to introduce themselves.
