"the girls"
We had a great time on Friday with our favorite neighbors and friends...the Steensland's. They were 2 doors up the street then moved...but now they are back as our neighbors!! They built a house 5 doors down. They moved in the same week we moved our for our remodel. So excited to be back home and with our neighbors!!

Father Daughter Dance
Lifetime (gym) holds father daughter dance on valentines weekend...cake & dancing!!
Remodel week 13
The paint is done upstairs and starting to get the electric complete...you can see some of the lights are in. Starting to look like a home!! Floors start tomorrow!
Master bath. The entry on the left is the closet, doorway straight back is the toilet with a pocket door and arch on right is the shower. Throughout the house I took out as many doors as possible and added arches.

Remodel week 12
Final days are here...finishing painting the last few rooms then next week it's the floors....then the finishing touches.
Standing in the dining room, the stairs upstairs (no change expect the wider doorway with arch)
Standing in the living room looking into what used to be a wall in Molly's room is now an opening to what will be the family room.
Standing in the new family room, you can see how cutting the wall opened up the space. We also removed the door to the wall & bathroom and replaced with an arched doorway. Goal open space with the feel it was built in 1947 just this way.
Only changes in the living room is adding some can lights and changing the paint.

Playdate with Grace Bednar
Tracy was my very first friend in Minnesota. We were interns together during the summer of 1999 then roommates in 2001 until I bought my townhouse. Jeff & her bought a house in Hudson, WI so I don't get to see her very often...and if so it's lunch during the week. So it was SO great to have her & Grace (19 months) over. Sadly, I have met her twice and my kids hadn't met her. They had a great time playing especially Molly who loved having Gracie following her around.
Remodel: Week 11
Sorry no pics as it the work is hard to see in pictures beyond the laundry room which is now complete with the new appliance. This week and the next 2 will be filled with painting and staining, but since the rooms were already primed in the colors they will be its hard to see the change in pictures. So live in the dark for a few weeks...still on plan to be back in our house by end of February!!
